Lead HVAC Technician / Service Manager
Location: Augusta or Bangor, Maine
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Compensation: $42–$52/hour + Performance Incentives + Potential Equity
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Technician / Service Manager to help launch and lead a new HVAC service operation in Maine. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity with the potential to build a team and grow into broader service management responsibilities.
An active Maine HVAC license is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, maintain, and install HVAC systems.
- Perform service work for multifamily and commercial properties.
- Manage service calls, schedules, and efficient routes.
- Communicate with customers, property managers, and residents.
- Prepare estimates and scope HVAC projects.
- Establish service, safety, and quality standards.
- Maintain service records and inventory.
- Train and supervise technicians as the business grows.
- Assist with recruiting and developing the service team.
- Help improve operations, customer service, and business growth.
Requirements
- Active Maine HVAC License – Required
- 5+ years of HVAC field experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and communicate professionally with customers.
- Relevant EPA certifications as required.
- Experience with heat pumps, mini-splits, boilers, hydronic, oil, propane, natural gas, or commercial HVAC is a plus.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to work in Augusta, Bangor, and surrounding areas.
- Leadership or technician-supervision experience is a plus.
